Ards Community Hospital
As its name implies, Ards Community Hospital serves the local population of North Down and Ards, delivering a comprehensive range of health, primary and social care services, including a Minor Injuries Unit, X ray department, GP wards, Outpatients Department and GP Out of Hours.
The Scrabo Group was appointed to construct a new generator and switch room and install concrete ducting and new surfacing to facilitate a vast array of services and cabling. By implementing a carefully phased programme, the works were successfully carried out while maintaining the normal daily business of this busy hospital complex.
Everton Day Centre
Everton Day Centre is a facility for patients with extreme special needs. In addition to meeting the needs of the client, the project had to be co-ordinated with the Centre’s patients in mind, many of whom are very susceptible to colour, sounds and sudden change. Scrabo successfully completed the refurbishment of these facilities while allowing the daily activities of this highly sensitive care centre to function unimpeded.
Muckamore Abbey Hospital
Muckamore Abbey Hospital provides inpatient, assessment and treatment facilities for people with severe learning disabilities and mental health needs. The project involved the conversion of existing library facilities into a medical records facility, and the conversion of adjacent office space into a library. Operating in a live hospital environment, Scrabo successfully completed the required work in phases, following sustainable construction methods, while maintaining the daily activities of this highly sensitive hospital.
